Perforations
The quality and cost-effectiveness of drum galvanising depends to a large degree on the type and size of the perforation.
Filter-plug
The filter-plug perforation system offers you the following crucial advantages:
- ease of replacement* * - the filter plug always facilitates optimum adjustment to the product so that a decision in favour of a particular perforation is no longer irrevocable
- · the doming of the filter-plug cap in the direction of the inside of the drum ensures that flat components will not adhere to the drum
- · The filter gauze properties minimise drops in voltage and carry-over losses. The large filter plug recesses increase the pump effect and ensure optimum electrolytic exchange
* The filter plug cannot be reused

Slot perforation
Round perforation
In this case, the drum's unusual material properties facilitate extremely closely-spaced perforations. Counter-bores and/or milled recesses inside and out aid electrolytic exchange, reduce the drop in voltage in the wall, reduce carry-over losses and prevent flat components adhering to the damp drum.
Special features:
- closely spaced holes with counter-bores on both sides
- in the case of sticky components, counter-bores may be overlapped
