Bearing systems
In order to guarantee a sufficient plating current in the barrel and to realize high batch loads we can offer you two different standard types:
Plastic plain bearings
Plastic plain bearings with cable pear contact
The
plastic plain bearing is designed with replaceable bearing trunnions and bushes
made of RCH 1000 so that even small parts cannot get into the bearing gap.
The unit is rounded off by a flexible copper contact cable with a protective
double PVC sleeve, a steel (hard chromium-plated) contact pear. To reduce the
amount of water carried over, the bushes are fitted with drainage holes.
Optimum stability is also guaranteed, even at high temperature.
Liquid-tight metal plain bearing
Liquid-tight metal plain bearing with disc contact
A
solid steel arm directly transfers the cathode current to the contact disc
connected to the barrel. The bellows which rotates in tandem protects it against
corrosive media. The special contact oil inside the bellows keeps the contact
surfaces clean and prevents interruption of the contact. Only wear-free static
seals are used in the vicinity of liquids. This system facilitates current
transfers of up to 600 A per side. The disc contact is screwed tightly to the
liquid-tight bearing and can be easily unscrewed from inside. Even at maximum
loading, the stable bearing arms do not eflect, reducing bearing wear to am
minimum.
